…Who Help Create Such Added Beauty For Today’s Very Fabulous Brides!

Inspiration.  Ideas.  Creativity.  Every dress design starts with an idea, stemmed from inspiration.  Learn to appreciate the inspiration and art behind your gown, and you’ll love it even more!  Here are a few of my personal favorites, featured on Brides.com this month, along with information on how the designers became inspired to create their lines:

Claire Pettibone

On her website, designer Claire Pettibone tells us, “When I create a dress, it’s all about the fabric and the woman.  How can I combine these elements to enhance each other?”.  She notes, “Paris in the 1920’s, Victorian laces, and the idealized icon of ‘woman’ throughout history”, as inspiration for many of her designs.

Over at the Wedded Bits Blog, designer Claire Pettibone declares, “I’m doing a rock ‘n roll bride collection this season inspired by the ultimate cool girl who married the lead singer in the band,”  – now there is one very “cool” designer!

Melissa Sweet

On the Priscilla of Boston site, designer Melissa Sweet shares with us her inspiration for this season and also wonderful tips and advice on choosing the right dress.  To watch and listen to the interview, click HERE.  Or, click HERE to learn even more about this fabulous designer!

Piccione

Using a modern, soft taffeta and iridescent satin I created opulent ball gowns with luxurious trains reminiscent of 1950’s styling,” says Michael Shettel. “The mod 60’s are represented by short destination and reception dresses, while crystal beaded empire and A-Line styles reflect a 1970’s sensibility.”- Wedded Bits Blog

Badgley Mischka

The Badgley Mischka signature style is simple yet elegant and brings to mind 1940’s Hollywood glamour.”Wedded Bits Blog

Now I understand why the character Charlotte, on Sex and the City, chose to wear a Badgley Mischka gown when she married Harry…it truly fit her personality and style!  Recapture the memories of Charlotte’s happy day and fall in love with her dress all over again, by clicking HERE!

Priscilla of Boston

My vision for my Spring ’09 collection entails a harmonious balance of silhouette, fabric and embellishment with authentic beading and trims,” says designer Tracy Uomoleale.  Read an interview with this talented designer on Brides.com by clicking HERE

Can’t get enough?  Watch a live video with the designer, over at the Priscilla of Boston site and take a further look into what inspires her, along with more tips and advice on choosing your wedding dress.

Timeless Gowns…

…By Romona Keveza!

Jaw-dropping.  Beautiful.  Sexy gowns with creative necklines and classic looks.  That’s what designer Romona Keveza offers in her collections this year, and I’m in total awe!

Keveza brings us two lines, a couture bridal collection and Legends, a line created for women who crave style but who are on a more restricted budget.  I’ve noticed many high-end designers today are starting to offer more affordable fashions, which I think is simply wonderful!

Her inspiration stems from classic fashion icons such as Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelley.  With that in mind, you know you’re in for a timeless treat!

These are just a few of my favorites.  I’m loving the black and white styles, but there are so many more, so be sure to check out her site!

To stop and stare with me, go to www.romonakeveza.com.
