…How Something Beautiful Is Born!
We all have ideas in our heads when it comes to creating. Little ideas, big ideas and dreams. But how do you make your dreams a reality? For those of you planning your weddings, perhaps you write down a list of ideas. Maybe you make yourself an inspiration board…or, perhaps your ideas begin floating onto your very own wedding blog!
It’s what you do with those ideas to make them a reality that can make planning a wedding so exciting. Come the big day, to see your ideas turn into something beautiful is quite rewarding! On that note, I can only imagine how rewarding it must be for designers to see their wedding dress sketches come to life and onto the runways…
While you’re there, be sure to visit the other collections by all of your favorite designers. Go ahead…have a little fun dress shopping. Do what you must to save your favorite dress ideas, then turn your dream wedding into a reality. Enjoy!
If you scroll through my blog, it’s no surprise I’m a sucker for adorable wedding shoes! While I try to feature fairly affordable shoes, once in a while a designer pair calls my name and I just have to share. No matter the price. Because for me, at the end of the day, shoes are like art!
Well, today I nearly fell off my chair when I found designer shoes that are not only hot, but modestly priced too! Shoes by none other than the fabulous Badgley Mischka…who would have thought? Take a look…
Badgley Mischka ‘Costa’ ~ currently $200 at Piperlime.com
Badgley Mischka ‘Chaz’ ~ currently $215 at Piperlime.com
Badgley Mischka ‘Caroline’ ~ currently $225 at Piperlime.com
Ok, so I know they’re still a little expensive – but a lot less expensive than some other designer pairs which can run you anywhere from $500 – $1000 and up. I’m impressed! It’s a little easier to save around $200, than it is $1000, that’s for sure! What could you cut back on to save a little extra dough if you absolutely had to have a pair? Cigarettes? Fast food? Restaurants? Fancy mocha-chocha-lata-ya-ya’s? Hmm?
Hey – I know, times are tough for most everyone right now. I’m not trying to make you splurge on a pair of expensive wedding shoes. I’m just pointing out some options for you!
Still don’t want to spend that much on a pair of shoes? I don’t blame you…it never hurts to shop around! Visit Like.com to find shoes that are similar to the ones you love, but a lot more budget friendly. Or, visit the Wedding Guide at Piperlime to find selections fit for most any budget. Happy shopping!

…Hot Trends For Spring 2010!
New York Fashion Week is in full swing! If you’re not in New York to see the new styles hit the runway, fear not ~ the Priscilla of Boston Group Runway Shows can be watched on video, as they streamed live on Brides.com this year for the very first time!
I was so thrilled to attend the fabulous show…even if it was from that “VIP” seat in front of my computer – ha! Hey, it’s all good. I still got to see some of the hottest trends right off the runway, so that I can share them here, with you!
Who’s ready to go dress shopping? According to Brides.com on Twitter, “many of the looks will be available in Priscilla of Boston stores in April”, so you won’t have to worry about the usual waiting. Now that’s something to look forward to, right?
Until those beauties hit the stores, let’s look at some of the trends, shall we?

Brides.com Senior Editor, Anne Chertoff, interviewed Priscilla of Boston designer, Tracy Uomoleale about the new Spring 2010 line (lucky girl!). Tracy spoke about how Priscilla of Boston designs are often known for their classic styling with modern twists. This year, she’s decided to add in subtle touches of color such as pearl and petal, making the dresses really “come alive”.

Many of the dresses in this line are adorned with high-sheen beaded detailing, Swarovski crystals, feathers and other gorgeous embellishments. The dresses are sweet like candy, while remaining sophisticated and sexy all at the same time!
When asked to talk a little bit about who the Priscilla of Boston bride is, Tracy explained that she believes this bride, “embraces tradition, classic styling and attention to detail”, but that she enjoys a little more of the modern touches of today as well.
For the new Spring 2010 line, Tracy has designed several of the gowns with traditional fabrics such as silk and satin, while keeping in mind the hot modern looks brides crave so much today.
