How To Get Perks For Being A Newlywed…

…Honeymooners, Prepare In Style & Get Ready To Smile!

While on our honeymoon, my husband and I went out for dinner to a really great restaurant.  The waiter asked if we were celebrating anything special, so we informed him we had just gotten married that weekend.  To our surprise, we got a complimentary bottle of fabulous champagne and also a free dessert!  Whoot, whoot!

Before you get hitched, make sure to be prepared for your honeymoon!  Flaunt your newlywed status and watch the perks roll in.  You never know what fun upgrades or things you might get along the way.   Last week, on the Wishpot Wedding Blog, I featured a few adorable items that might just help you!  Here’s one of my favorites, to see more, HERE.

If you haven’t done so yet, hook yourself up with, where you can register for all your favorite things, from all your favorite stores, all on one list!  Need more registry inspiration?  See my Wishpot lists by clicking HERE.  Careful, it’s addicting…but so much easier than driving store to store!  Your family members will appreciate how easy it is too.  Cheers!

The Compact Digital Wedding Album…

with 2 comments

…Share Your Wedding Pictures With Everyone, On The Spot!

Maybe you’ve registered for your wedding already.  Well, you might want to think about adding this cool gadget too!  This Digital Brag Book from Red Envelope puts a new twist on the traditional wedding album.  Allowing you to store up to 2,000 photos in a compact aluminum case, which opens to reveal a 3 1/2″ LCD screen, it’s now easier to share your gorgeous pictures!

Worried that Red Envelope doesn’t offer a registry program?  Worry no more, you can add any items from this store (or any store!) to your Wedding Registry.

Looking for something similar but less expensive?  This stylish Digital Photo Key Chain has a 1 1/2″ high-resolution screen which can hold up to 60 of your favorite wedding pictures!

So go ahead…add one of these to your Wedding Registry so that after the wedding, you can brag all you want about your amazing day.  Then when it comes time for baby, switch the pictures out and show off your little one.  Cheers!

UPDATE: Cyndi from somuchmorethanamom left a great comment with a wonderful idea for photographers:

We have the keychain – it’s so fun. Either of these would also be great for photographers to carry around their portfolios in such a compact form. You never know when you may run into a potential customer and want to show what you can do.”  – Cyndi

Sexy Registry Idea…

…A Newlywed Bar!

Brides, this is one registry idea your guy might actually get excited about registering for!  If you’ve got your heart set on finding the perfect bar for your home, why not look at these beauties from Crate & Barrel?   After your wedding, once you’re all settled into happy married life, have your friends or family over.  You and your fiance can play bartender!  Here are two of my favorites:

(Top:  Sloane Leaning Wine Bar (I love the option to buy just the one piece or how you can put several together to fill your wall).   Bottom:  Steamer Bar Cabinet)

Guests can pitch in together to either buy your bar or help you build it.  I’ve seen many wedding showers done around a wine or bar theme, where each guest brings a bottle of liquor to create a full bar for the couple.  Liquor can get expensive if you’re buying it all yourself, so I think this is such a creative and fun idea!

Whether guests pitch in for a nice bar, purchase a bottle of liquor or even add some cool things for your bar such as shakers, pourers, strainers, mixers and sugars, you can thank them later by inviting them over for your next soiree as a married couple, after the wedding!

Looking for more cool things to register for and other ways to help you build your bar?  See this week’s guest blog post I wrote on the Wishpot Wedding Blog by clicking HERE.  Cheers!

What A Cool Hostess You’ll Be…

Sold at Kimberly’s Events, I think this Chalkboard China would be so much fun whether it’s used at home or for your next big wedding or other event!  Personalize it with different color chalks to play up your wedding colors, food or flowers, or keep it simple using white chalk to label your bottles, chargers, plates and other serving items.

How fun! Love it?  Head on over to Kimberly’s Events to purchase, or see other pieces in the collection by clicking HERE.

Chalkboard China is a product line founded in 2008 by Candace Randolph and the creative design team at Cooper & Brinkley’s. We were looking for a creative outlet for our customers; a way for them to tell the world what is on their mind. A way to personalize and customize every occasion. We want to give you the courage and freedom to express yourself in ways you never could before.”
