About Me!

Recently finding an outlet to let my creative juices flow, I decided to finally begin my own blog.  Hope you enjoy my findings, thoughts, dreams and creative plugs…into the life of a 29 year old woman who’s still trying to figure out what she “wants to be when she grows up”.  Through life’s journey we find a fascinating road, but why not take the scenic route?!

Hey I’m just Jaime…but if you understood you’d see a lot more!

“My art and profession is to live…” -Author Unknown

“If you don’t have it here (pointing to the heart) it doesn’t matter what you have here (pointing at the head)” - Barbara Johnson

I love my husband.  Very much! I love CHRISTMAS! I love people.  I like dark chocolate, but anything chocolate will do.  I love art. I enjoy drawing, and am proud to say I’m finally getting back into it.

I love dancing, whether it’s with my girlfriends or for my husband! I love shoes. I love challenges, being creative, thinking of new ideas. Which is why I LOVE planning weddings & parties.   I’ve enjoyed planning all my friends’ birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers bachelorette parties and weddings!   I also have helped plan benefits with my friend Angela, for Mpower (Musicians for Mental Health www.mpoweryouth.org), which is part of The National Mental Health Association, www.nmha.org

I love taking pictures because I love to hold onto memories.  I enjoy all of nature but not the bugs or tornados.  Especially spiders.  I hate spiders. Ew.

I’m a girl who grows attached to amazing people I meet in life, a sentimentalist. When I say something I mean it.  I’m nice.  In fact, some people have said that when they first met me they thought I was fake, because they didn’t believe that I was really just nice like that all the time.  Well, it’s just me, I’m the farthest thing from fake.  I’m very sincere, trustworthy, honest, and humble.  But I can be a bitch if I need to.

I have strong Faith in the Man upstairs, however I do not go to Church like I should.  Once in a while, and when I do go it’s like a weight has been lifted off my back, but not as often as I’d like.  But I pray anyway.  Because God’s gotten me through so many hard times in my life.  Amen!

I believe everything in life happens for a reason.  I’m optimistic.  I see the good, the value, the abilities in people.  I believe everyone deserves a chance at their dreams.

I am strong.  Some see me as naive because I’m nice, but it just makes me stronger.  I have been through many hard times in my life but I’ve always hung in there, and gotten through them just fine, maybe with a tear drop or two, but mostly fine.  I always come out on top.  Sometimes it may take a while, but I know everything will always turn out ok in the end.

I see the “beauty” inside even the “ugly” people.  Because we’ve all been there at some point in our lives.  I love baking but hate cooking.  I am currently “domestically disabled” but willing to learn.  I’m a fast learner.  Teach me, and I’ll obsess to master it.  Because I have passion.

I am a computer dork.  Mostly because I love keeping in touch with everyone.  Life is too short to NOT keep in touch.  I have a “silky blanky” that my Nini and Pumpa made for me.  I love it.  I cry at sappy movies.

I don’t do drugs.  But I do smoke cigarettes.  I am looking to find a way to quit smoking though.  If you don’t smoke now, don’t ever start.  It’s dumb, and so bad for you, not to mention a very disgusting and expensive habit to have!!!

I love my cat.  I love bubble baths.  I love CHICAGO pizza and Portillo’s.  When I get in the mood to clean I go crazy…but I can’t stop because that mood doesn’t come along very often…ha ha.  Tip for cleaning: turn the music up!  My mom taught me that.  I love my mom by the way…and my whole family..all my friends.

I love snow caps.  And jelly bellies. Key lime pie if it’s fresh.  Filet Mignon. Yes, you could call me a “steak and mashed potatoes girl”.

I have a husband I hold very dear to me, and I truly consider him my “God-Sent”. He’s so good to me.  And he loves me. I’m so blessed!  Did I mention I’m blessed?

I don’t like shopping.  I’m a “girly girl” who’s not very girly. I do like to dress up on occasion though.  And I love wearing high heels!  I’d rather spend money on things for the home than on clothes, shoes, makeup, nails, etc.  I’m far from materialistic.

I didn’t come from money, nor do I have a lot of it.  But I can, however, say I’ve lived life, and have a trail of bills to prove it!  Oops.  I cherish and am grateful for everything I have.  Because there are so many people that don’t have anything at all.  I always count my blessings.

I love crafts.  I enjoy making things, artsy stuff.  From boxes to bottles to frames to anything…if I get to use art supplies I’m in heaven.  I need to buy some more art supplies.  I love scrapbooking, but it’s so expensive so I really don’t do it.

I love Barbies!  Did I mention I love CHOCOLATE?! What else do you want to know?  If you know me, you already probably know all this. However I continue to write novels because that’s what I do, and if you know me well you know that about me.

    Barbie rocks.

    Chocolate rocks more than Barbie.

That being said, I would probably eat a chocolate Barbie.

But that’s why my @$$ is in my garage every day hitting the heavy bag.
