…Using Popular Whites!
Today, I came across this gorgeous table, set for a birthday celebration over high tea. Lovely, isn’t it? I find it totally inspiring how nicely food can be displayed by using simple white dishes. Go from casual to fancy in a matter of minutes, by adding a just a few colorful accents!
Keeping it simple never looked so good…

Above, the birthday girl used white dishes along with left over wallpaper as a table runner, colored napkins and a vase of flowers to add color… and wa-la! Her table was ready to go in minutes! Hey, it’s important to keep entertaining easy, so that hosts can enjoy their party too.
As your styles change throughout the years, your white dishes will remain classic and easy to pair with anything! If you’re considering white, take a look at this place setting idea I created using the new Set Your Table tool from Brides.com:
Here, I kept the majority of dishes white, but dressed them up by selecting a brightly colored charger and cup. With this setting, you’ll be ready to serve in style whether it’s over iced tea or high tea! To see or register for the pieces shown above, click HERE.

There is a reason why you picked those wedding colors of yours. For some reason, they called out to you. Whether it’s because it reflects your personality, your style or you just love the look, let the colors that inspired you for your wedding inspire you for your home as well!
Turn your registry experience into fun by getting creative with it, like you did with your wedding planning!

If you’re a crafty nut who loves getting creative like I do, you might just enjoy this DIY decor idea that popped into my head last night. Allow me entertain you with it for a second…but first, take a look at this photo that provoked the idea…

Now, what if you lined your wedding ceremony aisle or runner with rocks? Not just any rocks, but ones either rolled or dusted in glitter? If not glitter, maybe they could be fancied up with sparkly rhinestones applied on each.
I feel like it would almost give off a magical look, similar to the twinkling walkways at Disney World! Just imagine the sun hitting the rhinestones or glitter and seeing a bunch of twinkling going on as you walk down that aisle to say your vows…can it get any more dreamy than that? Happy planning!
…Submurged In Love!
Every time I think about helping my aunt plan my cousin’s wedding last year, I laugh. Why? Because I was trying to offer creative ideas to my aunt and ended up saying to her, “You know what would be really cool? If you put water into the vases!”, (duh)! She laughed at me and replied with, “No kidding? What a concept!”.
Yes. I know. Apparently it’s quite common to put water into a vase. Amazing, isn’t it? However, what I was actually talking about was submerging flowers or other items into the water for the centerpieces, like a couple of these pictures shown below…
I also love the idea of putting whatever else your little heart desires into vases or bowls. For more ideas, visit this week’s guest blog post over at the Wishpot Weddings blog! Let your imagination flow.
You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on lavish floral centerpieces to make your wedding glamorous. You just have to get a little creative and spend a little time to find exactly what you want, to make your centerpieces fit within your wedding color, theme and most importantly, budget. Happy planning!
