…For The Bride-To-Be!

Sure, these Love Letter Panties would make a great gift idea for Valentine’s Day, but what a better occasion to give than a bachelorette party for the bride?  Let her write in her own words a little note for her husband-to-be, to flaunt during her honeymoon or wedding night…

Love Letter Panties from Bestow Boutique:

I adore the packaging it comes in and the idea behind it…allowing the bride to personalize her own little naughty message!

How easy it would be to pick up a few different pairs from another store to add to this set, allowing her to write several different love notes?

Or, just head over to your local craft store and pickup a fabric marker.  You could even use this idea to allow each bridesmaid to write their own funny saying on different pairs for the bride-to-be.  How creative are you feeling?  I won’t tell.  Get this set now by visiting!

with one comment

Join The Couples Massage Workshop On Valentine’s Day!

Hey Chicagoland lovebirdies!  Still trying to figure out how to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year?  I’ve got the perfect solution.  My friend Rhonda over at Tranquility Unlimited will be giving a 2-hour couples massage workshop this Saturday, February 14th, at the 2009 Love Convention, being held at the Wyndham Hotel & Resort in Lisle, IL.

(Above photo credit: Veer)

She’ll show you the essentials of massage so that you can give the gift of touch to those you love!

Information and event packages for the event can be found at and are still available, so hurry up and get in on the festivities!  There will also be wine tasting, dance lessons, dinner, live entertainment and more…am I thinking what you’re thinking?  This would be a great way to try out some possible wines for your wedding day and learn a few dance moves for that first dance of yours coming up!

Can’t make the event?  No worries, there are many ways you can experience the massage therapy services offered by Tranquility Unlimited.  You can even plan a Signature Spa Party with your girls as a way to relax before the wedding day or even as part of your bachelorette party!

Wedding planning can be stressful at times…what a perfect way to chill out.  Who’s in?  For more information, call Rhonda at 630-688-8448 or visit her website at  Enjoy!

…And Red Makes My Heart Spin!

You know the feeling…that fluttering, butterfly feeling in the bottom of your stomach when you first fall in love?  The rosey red color your cheeks turn from blushing…the squeeling from excitement that makes you want to jump out of your skin because you’re just so happy?

The same thing happens on your wedding day.  Well, it did for me and I hope it does for you too, it’s an amazing feeling!  What a better way to describe it than this board of love above, created by Prima Donna Bride…just in time for Valentine’s Day this weekend!  Are you high on love?  Tell us your favorite thing about love in the comments below…how does love make you feel?  Let’s get smushy!

A Wedding Day At The Races…

with 2 comments

…In Summertime Vintage!

Whoa.  Have you seen this bridal photo shoot from WellWed Magazine?  It’s sweet like cotton candy!  The pictures were taken at the Saratoga Race Track in New York by photographer Joe Elario.  Yum…

I’ve always been a huge fan of the race track ever since I was little.  While I’ve never been to the Saratoga Race Track in New York, I can tell you that Arlington Park (formerly known as “Arlington Race Track”) in Illinois is an amazing time!  I think this would be a fantastic wedding venue for Chicago brides planning a summertime wedding.  Who doesn’t love a day at the races?  Do you have a race track near you that would be nice for a wedding?  If so, please comment below so we can share with other brides!

See more from this photo shoot by visiting Make Me Fabulous by Alayne, who actually did the makeup for these photos.  Love the dresses?  Me too!  See who the designers behind them are by visiting Fresh Picked Weddings, the WellWed blog which was introduced to me by Candice over at Event Jubilee.  Thank you, Candice!

Custom Dye…

…Your Crinoline!

Feeling stylishly unconventional?  Maybe you’re looking to throw in a little zest under that dress, dare I say, pop of color”?  Add a playful pigment to your crinoline and walk down that aisle in style with an even bigger smile!

With D.I.Y (do it yourself) projects on the rise, many brides are attempting this task themselves, by throwing their crinoline in the wash with a little bit of RIT Dye.  Sure, it can be done and bravo to those of you brave enough to try!  However, I’m sure there are several of you not so hip on the idea of putting dye into the washer.  I know, I would be a little nervous about it too!

That’s where The Wedding Cabaret steps in.  To learn more about how they can help you, visit their site or read my “to dye for” guest blog post from the Wishpot Wedding Blog last week.  There’s enough stress that can come with planning a wedding…so why add to it when you don’t have to?  Let the pros do it so you can focus on the rest of your planning.  Cheers!

…By Kristy Rice of Momental Designs!

Recently, I received a few wedding invitation samples in the mail from Kristy Rice, “an artist-turned-stationery designer” and owner of Momental Designs.  I’m not sure if I’ve been hiding under a rock lately or what, but this was the first time I’ve actually seen hand-painted wedding invitations.  I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when they came to my door!

Kristy’s designs are individually hand-painted and custom-made…with love, for love.  I can’t imagine how time consuming it must be, as not only does she design beautiful invitations, but  placecards, programs, menus and other stationery as well.  Take a look…

If you’re in the market for hand-painted invites, let Kristy work with you to create lovely designs significant to your love story.  If you’re looking to get inspired, click HERE to visit her stationery gallery or visit her website at  Also, be sure to stop by her blog, Rice Ink, to learn how she gets inspired and see why her invitations are loved by couples nationwide!
