Cotton Candy Cosmo!

Why Not Make This As Your Signature Wedding Drink?

While visiting in Wisconsin, the week before my brother-in-law’s wedding, we all went out to dinner at this place called  O’Charley’s.  I thought it would be fun to share a cocktail with my awesome soon-to-be sister-in-law, so she told me about one of her favorite drinks there – the Cotton Candy Cosmo!

Her and I are a lot alike, I also love cosmopolitans!  However, this wasn’t your typical cosmo.  Basically, they serve you a martini glass with cotton candy inside.  As they pour the cosmopolitan mix over the cotton candy, it dissolves and creates a truly delicious cocktail!

Here’s a picture of it at our table, in action as the waitress poured this pretty little drink:

Since it was such a yummy martini, I only had one…I didn’t want to get too tipsy!  It got me thinking though – what a fun cocktail this would be to serve at a wedding!  Since we all know how strong martinis can be, maybe it would be best to just serve one round to adult guests, as a pretty presentation during dessert.

If you love this idea and crave the recipe, here it is.  Just take the following ingredients, shake, pour over cotton candy and enjoy:

1 -1/2 oz SKYY Vodka

1/2 oz XR Fusion Liquor

1 oz Cranberry Juice

Want to try it first?  Find one near you by visiting the O’Charley’s website.  Of course, please drink responsibly.  Cheers!

  3. How fun! I’ll bet it would be good for a tween girl’s b-day party too…without the alcohol of course! Maybe use 7-up in place of the booze…either way…YUM!

  4. I saw this in a bartender mag. but there wasn’t a recipe or description. Wasn’t sur if it was a drink or dessert, sounds like a bit of both. Can’t wait to do this for a party, or surve it at the bar I work at. Thanks for the info.

  5. yeah I had this drink in Tennessee.

The actual restaurant one is 2 oz cranberry juice.
**asked bartender and watched him make it**
then tried it with the 2oz compared to 1oz

The recipe on the shaker is for at home only. LOL.
    gets ya drunk fast!!
