…Simple, Easy & Affordable Ideas For Dressing Up Your Party!

There’s nothing better than throwing a fabulous party and knowing it didn’t cost you a fortune to do so.  That’s why I love these IDEAS featured on Every Day With Rachael Ray, from some of our favorite designers

1. Under Cover: “Place your goblets upside down on a table, tuck large blooms underneath and top with colorful votives.” – idea from designer Annie Selke, owner of Pine Cone Hill

2. Natural Wonder: “Pluck large leaves from your backyard and place them in bowls and pitchers. Add a few sprigs of sage and rosemary, and you’ll have a centerpiece that’s easy to love all season long.” – idea from loved designer Vera Wang

3. Tea Time: “Arrange flowers in a teapot, and give them extra height by standing the pot on a cup.” – idea from fashion designer Liz Lange.

4.  Tiny Baubles: “Drape stemmed glasses with necklaces, bracelets and earrings—whatever you have in your jewelry box—for a perfectly accessorized meal.” – idea from former Project Runway finalist and fashion designer Daniel Vosovic.

  1. Jaime, I LOVE the upside-down goblet idea! I want to have both flowers and candles at my wedding, but not bust our budget on the blooms – so this looks perfect for us! Yay!

  2. Awww, good, Jen, I’m so happy I could help you come up with an idea for your own wedding, yay!

I know – I love the upside down goblet idea too – in fact, my husband thought I was nuts when I silently went over to him, set up a little table, and started playing with wine glasses, pillar candles, and different objects to put under the glasses…ha ha. I even put wine corks under one, it looked so cool!

Seriously, you don’t even have to put a flower under there…use your imagination…think wine corks, ornaments, leaves/nature items like sticks, bows, marbles/rocks, cherries or other fruit, or even use those LED lights – you know what I’m talking about? They’re like tiny light bulbs, kinda – many brides use them instead of tealight candles…that would look cool too – to light the bottom up, and then put some sort of stuffing around it whether it’s flowers or whatever…ooooh the options are endless!!!

Have fun with it – let me know what you go with, I’d love to hear. Cheers!!!

  3. Jaime, this is SO great. I LOVE the idea of using wine corks and fruit! Or even pumpkins for a fall wedding… Yay! Thanks so much for thinking more about this – I will keep you posted on what we end up doing (even if our wedding is still a year away… heh). Cheers!
