Shiny Happy Small Talk!
Many of us have been there before - invited to a party, wedding, shower or other event where you don’t know anybody, and you don’t want to open your mouth and say something stupid. Rather than venture out and talk to people, you sit in the corner from a distance, smiling or pretending to talk on the phone. You enjoy a few cosmopolitans.
Before you know it, the night’s over and you’re calling a cab, wondering why you went out in the first place, because all you ended up doing was sitting and drinking, by yourself. And now, you’ve gotta get up early with a lovely hangover. Joyous.
